“Meet Nehemiah” luncheons are scheduled four times a year as a way of introducing people in the community to what we do as a not-for-profit agency working with teenage boys who have run afoul of the law. These small, box-lunch conversations around a table with 4-6 people and staff, we will discuss the many obstacles our young men face and our unique strategies for helping them get themselves back on track. Staff will be happy to answer any question about these programs.
The 1 ¼ hour time frame allows us to talk about Nehemiah’s history, our mission, the many programs that we conduct and activities of enrichment for our young men. They, generally, have had a very unstable background, with insufficient positive parental involvement. Most of our boys have missed a lot of school, particularly in early grades, which has had a profound impact on their ability to succeed in school and their options and hope for the future. Our dedicated staff really does make a difference.
Next luncheon is Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 12:00pm
Held at our administrative office - 2506 W. Vliet St.
Please e-mail Alice Hanson-Drew [firstname.lastname@example.org] or call her at 414 687-2880 if you would like to attend the next luncheon. Or, if you know someone who would be interested in learning more about what we do, let us know and we would be happy to contact them. Thank you.
